Andy Wilson

Andy has over 30 years of experience in the shipping, maritime and offshore industries. Having worked at sea as a Second Officer and offshore as a Heavy Lift Supervisor before moving into marine surveying, he has developed extensive expertise across marine cargo, freight liability and complex maritime claims.

His experience includes marine cargo and freight liability claims, vessel condition surveys, warehouse risk assessments and expert witness work, as well as P&I matters, Hull & Machinery losses, heavy-lift operations and project cargo. Andy's practical knowledge and broad industry experience enable him to provide clients with clear, pragmatic advice and effective solutions.

Andy is known for his friendly, approachable manner and enjoys working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver the highest standards of service.

Outside of work, Andy enjoys photography, amateur radio, electronics and 3D printing. He is also a dedicated RNLI volunteer and now serves as Lifeboat Operations Manager at his local station, following more than 20 years as a lifeboat crew member.

Andy is based at our Ipswich office.
