Michael (Mike) has over 15 years of experience within the marine and shipping industry. Before joining CWH he worked as a Marine Surveyor and Consultant carrying out surveys and investigations on behalf of P&I Clubs, insurers, shipowners and charterers.
Mike has extensive experience in P&I consultancy, cargo damage claims, liquid and bulk cargoes, freight liability, loss prevention and risk mitigation. He has also been involved in a wide range of project cargo operations across the UK and Europe, providing practical support and technical expertise on complex marine and logistics matters.
A Full Member of the Nautical Institute and an IFIA-qualified Cargo Surveyor, Mike is known for his calm, methodical approach and strong attention to detail. His broad industry experience enables him to investigate complex cases thoroughly and deliver practical, evidence-based solutions for clients.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys playing golf whenever he can, although much of his spare time is spent keeping up with his two young sons and energetic Border Collie.
Mike is based from our Birmingham office.
