CWH is delighted to announce that Alison White has joined the business as a Senior Claims Handler, further strengthening our presence in Manchester and wider North West region.
The North West has long been an important region for CWH, and Alison’s appointment reflects our continued commitment to building a strong, experienced team across the UK. With Manchester being such a crucial hub for the marine insurance industry, investing in local expertise remains a key priority—and Alison’s arrival marks another significant step forward.
Alison brings with her almost 20 years of experience in the freight liability and marine cargo insurance sector, having held a variety of roles ranging from Claims Handler to senior leadership positions. Her background spans working for several major insurers where she developed deep expertise across multiple classes of business, alongside responsibility for areas such as subrogation, vendor management, training and audit.
She is an expert in UK and European Road Transit and Freight Forwarders liability, as well as Marine Cargo claims - areas that align closely with CWH’s core strengths and client needs.
Joining Jonathan Reed and Helen Garner based in Manchester, Alison’s appointment enhances our capabilities in the region. She not only adds significant technical expertise to the team, but also reinforces our ability to provide a high-quality, responsive service to clients operating in and through the North West market.
Alison’s appointment also reflects CWH’s wider strength across the UK. Alongside our growing Manchester presence, we have an established footprint across the North of England with our Leeds office led by Richard Fawkes, as well as coverage across the Midlands, Scotland and Ireland. In the South, our teams operate from Dartford, alongside our head office in Ipswich, ensuring we can support clients nationwide.
Alison’s approach to claims handling - focusing on cutting through complexity to identify the key issues around circumstances, contract and coverage - fits perfectly with CWH’s ethos of delivering clear, commercial and pragmatic solutions.
We are very pleased to welcome Alison to the team and look forward to the impact she will make as we continue to grow and strengthen our presence in Manchester and across the UK.
